The Forgotten Round-up tells of the destruction of Saint-Jean, Marseilles’ and France’s oldest neighborhood, destroyed on Hitler’s orders with the complicity of the Vichy regime. This film was co-produced with France Télévisions and Les Films Grain de Sable.
The film premiered on January 24, on the 80th anniversary of the roundup of the inhabitants of Saint-Jean. Some of them were also present at the screening. Click here to see the pictures from the evening.
The Forgotten Round-up is a 52′ film and a web-series of 7 episodes. France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur premiered the film on January 26. The web-series will be broadcast on the channel every evening for two weeks, in prime time from Sunday February 26, before the national newspaper (Click here to read the press release from France Télévisions).
